This just in...
According to the RTE Six-One News:

  • The economy is banjaxed;
  • It's been deuced wet.
I imagine they just need to sit back and wait for the journalism awards to roll in.

I do like the CSI: Fruit'n'veg trailer, though.

If they used both "banjaxed" and "deuced" in the same report, then frankly they get my vote, for style if not for content...

... but sadly, I suspect you are paraphrasing.

Guilty as charged: quite a bit, in fact.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if "banjaxed" came up on News Two, but hardly the Six-One. Unless they had Eddy Hobbs on, I suppose. "Deuced" would be pretty unlikely, it must be said. (Perhaps in a David Norris clip.)
